EDUCATION AND CULTURAL EXCHANGE
In 2012 it was the first time we got two volunteers, Lissa and Nora, from Germany. This project arised out of our german cooperation with the NGO International Bund, which is supported by the German government.
The girls just did their A-Levels and now they do a social year before they are going to study. Especially, they decided to come to Tanzania to get to know to such a different culture than the culture in their home country and to support the school and the students' cosmopolitan openness.
The main tasks of our volunteers are the building and establishment of a library, management and conception of clubs in cultural and sport activities, as well as private tuition.
Most of all, they work at the weekends in the library where they further the children with activities like playing and drawing.
We are locking forward to build an exchange that lasts for many generations to profit and learn from each other.
The first generation in 2012/2013, Lissa and Nora, went back to Germany. In the time from September 2013 to September 2014 Saskia and Debbi continued the work. In 2014/2015 Marie and Jakobine continued the work.
