Cafeteria and Kitchen team
BALANCED FOOD IS ESSENTIAL WHILE LEARNING
Therefore we have a wonderful kitchen team which creates several times per day food for the students. The courses include; Breakfast, tea break, lunch and dinner.
Together with his assistants the chef traditionally cooks breakfast, lunch and dinner for the whole school and teachers.
The school menu varies depending on the season. For breakfast; Congee(rice porridge) which alternates with maize porridge. For lunch and dinner there is a variety; makande, sweatpotatoes with beans, ugali with beans, ugali with vegetables, rice with beans, ugali with meat. Rice is eaten once a week on Tuesdays during lunch time and meat too is eaten once a week on Fridays during lunch time. During the rainy season, sweet potatoes are likely to appear on the school menu even thrice a week instead of Ugali.
Big pots with a hole lot of food inside cooking on the fireplace and the chef named Jerome Katani together with his assistant Muse Kirato and Kadogo Mugendi do their best to create a delicious meal for the students.
As seen in the pictures, the kitchen and dinning hall are temporary premises and the food is cooked in the typical African style but extremely delicious and nutritious.
