Pre Primary School

In the Pre-Primary the pupils learn their first words, to read and to write in the English language. This is comparable to the kindergarten where the children learn in a playfully and an age-appropriate atmosphere. After two years they should be prepared to go to the Primary School.

 

The first official language in Tanzania is Kiswahili but the second official language is English. And because of that also the education system instructs that the lessons in all private Tanzanian schools should be taught in English, whereas Kiswahili is just a subject. Certainly the children come to school without any knowledge about this language(English), so it is a tough task for the teachers to get them familiar with this language.​

Although, this idea of the kindergarten/Pre-Primary is not really established yet in Tanzania but it offers a good opportunity to further the children's education and mental progression.
